Later in the show he came out as himself, and Mr. Hamlisch would ask him who he was. In addition to singing like Ms. Streisand, Mr. Brinberg dresses like her. It's part of playing a character, and he prefers to say that he's "in costume" as opposed to being "in drag." "I kind of knew that was part of it and it sort of held me back for a little while because I didn't have a great desire to get dressed up, and I didn't know a lot about it," he says. "Now it's kind of like second nature to me."
